In its pure form, it is a white crystalline solid. It is soluble in organic solvents such as ethanol, dimethyl sulfoxide (DMSO) and dimethyl formamide (DMF).
The solubility of this product in solvents is approximately 3, 10 and 5 mg/ml respectively.
Furthermore, it is also soluble in deuterated chloroform (CDCl3).
It is sparingly soluble in aqueous buffers.
